Oldest hotel in Rapperswil
Seeing that the hotel has been accommodating guests since 1682, it is the oldest hotel in Rapperswil.
Before the Fischmarktplatz was created in 1834, the Hirschen was located right in the inner harbor of Rapperswil. The core structure originated in the 14th century.
Today's exterior and the roof truss of the building date back to 1511 and are completely preserved.
The entrance portal goes back to 1750, and the oriel is from 1911.
In 1993, the Hirschen was redesigned. The hotel now offers 14 tastefully furnished rooms as well as elegant bathrooms. On the 4th floor, you can stay under the roof beams, which are almost 500 years old.
